RUN CLUB
We believe running should be for everyone and anyone who runs is a RUNNER. So whether you are taking your first steps, further steps or faster steps we all RUN TOGETHER
WHO
We started Run Club in 2017 when Oska, Richard and half a dozen others decided to come together and get ready for Christchurch Marathon.
7 seasons on we have a team of nearly 2000 members and regular runs of 60-80 people on a Tuesday Night.
Run Club has become a family of all abilites. With our mentality of "no runner left behind", each pace group from 4:30-7:30 is catered for.
Run Club is free and always will be, and is supported by TEAMCP.

WHAT
We run on a four-weekly cycle, involving an interval session, easy run, hill repeats and a track session, lead by our Coaches, to build your fitness heading into the Christchurch and Queenstown Marathons, or purely for enjoyment!

We have A and B sessions to cater for your energy levels, as well as a wide range of pace groups for the easy runs. So whether you are taking your first steps, further steps or faster steps we all RUN TOGETHER.

Plus, our relationships with brands as a speciality run store means we frequently have 'brand nights' where you have an opportunity to trial shoes, and maybe even win a pair if you're lucky! 😉. Check out our ON session here.
WHEN & WHERE
We host Run Club twice a year. Season 2 2025 kicks off on July 29th. The location cycles through Hagley Park, Frontrunner Colombo Store, Pioneer, and Nga Puna Wai Track. Check out the calendar for exact dates:

In the off season, Shaun Hedley (a run Club Legend) hosts NOT RUN CLUB. A weekly Run in Hagley Park
To stay up to date we recommend joining the Facebook group.

PACE LEADERS
Our pace and pack leaders are Run Club legends. Some have even been coming since its conception. They help on our easy runs to make sure everyone knows where they are going and are running at the right speed. Creating a group to train with. On our interval and Hill work days they are great measuring sticks for your fitness. We have multiple groups based around minute per k's. From 4:30, 5:00, 5:15, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30 and 7-7:30 minutes per k. Making our Run Club one of the most inclusive and diverse in the country
